Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger

Removal of hydrogen sulfide gas from process systems, therefore reducing corrosion

Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger -RXSOL-11-5014-210  corrosive and Acidic GAS Remover

H2S Scavengers and Speaciality Chemicals to Reduce Hydrogen Sulfide Exposure

Harmful and Colorless toxic gas, Toxic Odor like rotten egg in to the working environment is due to presence of good amount of Hydrogen Sulfide in the system.

Hydrogen Sulfide is corrosive and Acidic GAS towards metal equipment practically observed that within 5 years can cause millions of dollars in damage to infrastructure.

RX Marine International offers a compleate line of water soluble and oil soluble hydrogen sulfide scavengers that can be applied via continous injection or through batch treatments.

HS Code : 3811900

Advanced AZO family derived hydrogen sulfide scavenger developed for high-performance gas and liquid phase H₂S removal in oilfield and industrial applications. Unlike conventional scavengers such as glyoxal, zinc salts, or MEA blends, RXSOL Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger offers rapid, irreversible binding of H₂S to form stable, non-toxic end products — ensuring no re-evolution of H₂S under fluctuating system conditions.

Application

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) naturally occurs and may already by present information can be the result of sulphate reducing bacteria (SRB) in your process systems. Ones established, it can potentially be carried in hydrocarbon streams, resulting in servere gatharing lines, creating high failure rates in your production.

Through strategic H2S scavenger applications and speciality chemicals, RX Marine International chemicals experts can help reduce H2S levels and lower overall solids in your system, reducing any gas or fluid souring while controlling corrosion.

If you encounter hydrogen sulfide in your system, RX Marine International can perform a fluid compatibility test to determine H2S levels and customize a chemical solution to fit your production needs.

It is highly effective across a wide range of operating environments including wellheads, separators, pipelines, storage tanks, water treatment units, and gas processing facilities. Its water-soluble nature and low volatility make it easy and safe to handle in both continuous and batch treatment programs. The product is engineered to perform in multiphase environments, tolerate salinity and hydrocarbons, and integrate smoothly with other oilfield treatment chemicals.

Dose

Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger is works as a corrosive Acidic GAS Remover from system as well as from working station. which is not only damaging precious instrument but also creating Worker Health  problem by attacking on respiratory system.

The neutralizing effect of H2S is the result of a simple chemical reaction between the components of an RXSOL-11-5014-210 molecule and an offensive, toxic odour molecule.

       Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) + RXSOL-11-5014-210  =  Bi Sulfide salt

The resultant products in the above equations are safe and stabilized compounds, which are neutral, harmless, and odour free. They dissolve in water and will not be re-released into the atmosphere in normal conditions.

Application Methods

  • Continuous Injection into pipelines or production systems

  • Batch Dosing for vessels, tanks, or wellbore treatments

  • Gas Scrubbing via packed columns or spray towers

Injection pumps and corrosion-resistant fittings recommended.

Recommended Dosage

Application Dose Range
Natural Gas 50–250 ppm (per ppm H₂S)
Produced Water 200–500 ppm
Crude Oil Streams 300–1000 ppm
Batch Treatment As determined by lab test or field trial

Note: Dosage depends on H₂S concentration and contact time. Lab titration is recommended.

  • Removal of hydrogen sulfide gas from process systems, therefore reducing corrosion
  • The reaction products can be easily removed from the process systems
  • Maintains asset integrity and reduces the need for new equipment
  • Maximized H₂S Removal
Achieves near-total scavenging of H₂S with minimal contact time and high selectivity.

  • Reduces Corrosion Risk
By effectively eliminating H₂S, it minimizes corrosion potential and protects pipelines, tanks, and processing equipment.

  • Improves Safety & Environment Compliance
Mitigates toxic and flammable gas risk, improves operator safety, and helps meet environmental gas emission standards.

  • Lower Total Operating Cost
Reduced dosage, high reactivity, and no re-treatment requirements mean fewer chemicals and less downtime.

  • Easy to Use & Store
No special handling equipment required. Stable under ambient conditions. Long shelf life (12+ months).

  • Non-Aldehyde / Non-Metal Formula
No formaldehyde, glyoxal, or zinc – making it safer and more eco-friendly for continuous use.

Key Features of Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger:

  1. Triazene Core Chemistry
Proprietary blend of stabilized triazenes offers superior reactivity with H₂S — much faster and more efficient than aldehyde or metal salt-based scavengers.

  2. Irreversible Reaction
Forms thermally and chemically stable byproducts, preventing H₂S re-release even under extreme pressure and temperature.

  3. Wide Compatibility
Suitable for crude oil, condensate, produced water, natural gas, and multiphase flow systems. Compatible with corrosion inhibitors, demulsifiers, and brines.

  4. Fast Acting
Scavenging occurs within seconds of contact; ideal for high-throughput operations.

  5. No Solid Residue Formation
Unlike iron or zinc-based scavengers, RXSOL Hydrogen Sulfide Scavenger does not form solids or sludges, reducing downstream fouling and filtration issues.

  6. Field-Ready Liquid Form
Ready-to-use liquid with high active content, reducing the need for onsite blending or hazardous component handling (like hydrazine or formaldehyde).

  7. Thermal Stability
Maintains efficiency in systems up to 130°C (266°F) without degradation or loss in performance.
