ProShield PC55 RO Biocide

Antimicrobial used for reverse osmosis water treatment to Eliminate most microbial growth Stable, broad spectrum
Category

Isothiazolinone based ProShield PC55 RO Biocide bactericide an antimicrobial and preservative used in a wide variety of applications, such as bactericide for reverse osmosis water treatment.

Application

For Shut Down longer than as 24 hrs, Biological growth in the RO system should be controlled. This requires the introduction of a chemical to kill bacteria and prevent growth. Any Preservation chemical would then have to be rinsed out from the system when it is restarted.

Dose
Flow Rate during flushing should be based on the recommended cleaning instruction flow rates. This is  normally 30-40 gpm ( 6.8 to 9.1 m3/ Hr ) per pressure vessel.

Flushing time should be long enough for the conductivity out to equal the conductivity in. Typically 15 - 20 minutes.

If the permeate flush is unavailable, feed water can be  used by allowing low pressure water to replace the water within the system by delaying the inlet valve closing. Scale inhibitor should be turned off during the permeate flush.

if the temperature in the RO Membrane system more then 115 degree fahrenheit, flush water should be continiously passed through the system to prevent memebrane degradation.

With a shelf time of one year when stored at room temperature in a dark, air-tight, and moisture-proof place.

Isothiazolinone Biocide is high performance, broad spectrum, antimicrobial agents based on the proven isothiazolone chemistry. Isothiazolinone Biocide 14% is excellent Isothiazolinone biocide and Oilfield Bactericide. They are effective at very low concentrations in controlling both the planktonic and surface growth of bacteria, fungi and algae and have been produced specifically for water treatment and paper mill applications. It could be used Isothiazolinone in water treatment and Oilfield Bactericide applications

The bactericidal effect of Isothiazolinones Biocide Cooling Water Treatment is carried out through breaking the bond between bacteria and algae protein. When contacted with microbes,Isothiazolinone can quickly inhibit their growth, thus leading to death of these microbes.Isothiazolinones has strong inhibition and biocidal effects on ordinary bacteria, fungi and alga, and has many advantages such as high biocidal efficiency, good degradation, noresidual, safety in operation, good compatibleness, good stabilization, low cost in operation.

Application  :

Isothiazolinone as chemical biocide algaecide is ideally suited to meet the requirements of an industrial water treatment biocide and excellent Isothiazolinone biocide. Isothiazolinone 14% microbicide is not deactivated by suspended organic matter, and is compatible with other water treatment additives, including chlorine. With the recent change of many cooling towers and paper mills to alkaline operating conditions, it is important to use a biocide such as Isothiazolinone 14% which remains stable at higher pH values. Isothiazolinone 14% is of low toxicity at use levels, easily deactivated and biodegradable.
